Climate Change
Climate change is a long-term continuous change, either an increase or decrease, to average weather conditions OR to the range of weather
For example, more frequent and severe/extreme storms.
Water Resources
Barbados receives significant seasonal rainfall, yet it remains one of the most water-scarce countries in the world.
The limited freshwater storage on the island is a product of topography, geology and land-use.
Mitigation & Adaptation
Climate change is addressed through two approaches: mitigation, in which greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, and adaptation, in which measures are implemented to reduce the negative impact of climate change.
